Future ED Awards Categories & Criteria
We are excited to announce that public nominations for the Future ED Awards 2025 are now open! This is your chance to highlight the educators, leaders, schools, and organisations that are making a meaningful difference in education, especially for Black African and Caribbean communities across the UK.
Nominations are open until March 30th, 2025, and you can nominate yourself or someone else who you believe deserves to be recognised for their impact and contributions to education.
Below is a detailed outline of the criteria, process, and what makes a strong nomination
Nomination Criteria
Nominations close 30th March 2025
The Future ED Awards celebrate quality over quantity. Nominations are judged based on the content and quality of the application rather than how many nominations a person or organisation receives. There’s no need to run a campaign for votes—focus on submitting a detailed, thoughtful application that highlights the nominee’s impact.
We are looking for individuals, schools, and organisations who demonstrate the following values and impact areas:
Key Values & Impact Areas
Equity & Inclusion
How does the nominee actively promote equity and inclusion for Black African and Caribbean students and communities?
Innovation in Education
Has the nominee introduced creative, effective, or ground-breaking solutions to challenges in education?
Community Empowerment
Does the nominee foster partnerships that uplift and empower Black voices and create lasting opportunities?
Sustainability & Future Skills
How is the nominee preparing students for the future through sustainability initiatives, STEAM education, or financial literacy?
